I have joined Spagnoli Lab as a HFSP postdoctoral fellow to explore the intercellular crosstalk between immune cells and the developing pancreas.

I started my research journey as a Research Officer in the lab of Dr Florent Ginhoux at the Singapore Immunology Network in the A*STAR Institute, where we primarily studied the ontogeny and development of macrophages and dendritic cells. I was later awarded the A*STAR Graduate Scholarship to pursue my PhD in Nanyang Technological University under the continued supervision of Dr Florent Ginhoux, where I had the exciting opportunity to study human embryonic macrophage development both in vivo as well as utilising induced pluripotent stem cell models.

The early emergence of these cells in both mice and humans got me interested in the possibility that they might be involved in tissue development and maturation. I am now joining the Spagnoli Lab as a HFSP fellow investigating intercellular crosstalk between immune cells and the developing pancreas.
